McKinnon Secondary College's Wellbeing Framework connects student and staff wellbeing with the school's core values: Respect, Integrity, Resilience, Community, Creativity, and Success.
Our hope is that every student and staff member feels seen, valued, and supported. Our wellbeing vision helps us create a culture where wellbeing is everyone’s responsibility, and everyone belongs.
The wellbeing framework brings our vision to life by linking these values with the 24 VIA Character Strengths. These strengths, such as kindness, perseverance, creativity, and leadership, are qualities that exist in all of us. When we use them, we strengthen our ability to learn, build positive relationships, and take care of our mental health.
At McKinnon, we believe wellbeing is action. It is the way we treat ourselves and each other every day, and it is what allows us to feel good and do good.
